Dymock’s Farm at Caversfield

In February 2025 developers submitted a Scoping Application for 900 houses and amenities at Dymock’s Farm in Caversfield. It precedes a full outline planning proposal, which means that at present, the developers are finding out if there is any mileage in submitting more detailed plans.

Many of us remember that in 2006 a similar proposal was submitted and rejected in 2007. The plans were deemed unnecessary and inappropriate for Caversfield, and insufficient infrastructure was identified as one of the major issues preventing the plans from being approved.

Have a look at the new plans and decide for yourself what you think of them.

Baynard’s Green Warehousing

For reasons we are not 100% clear about, Cherwell District Council has opened another round of consultations on two proposed developments around M40 J10 and the Baynard’s Green roundabout, A43/B4100 junction.

The plans affect all who live and travel in this area and beyond: both Baynard’s Green and J10 are at and over capacity and not just at peak times. These proposals do not take into account Puy du Fou proposals, to be situated about a mile south of the warehousing, off the B4100, or proposals to build 6,000 new houses at Heyford Park and 7,750 between Bicester and Bucknell.
