Cherwell District Council is consulting on its draft Local Plan 2042 until 25th February 2025. You can read more about it on this page.
By responding to this consultation you can influence what is included in the plan about housing developments, improvements to transport, provision of schools and leisure, green spaces and investment in the area.
What you can – and should – do now
Make sure you have your say. Without locals’ input, the council will make decisions now we may not like later. Opposing development that was agreed in the Local Plan is very, very difficult.
You can share your views in several ways.
- Visit the consultation website to view the plan and submit your comments. Tell the council what you like about the plan, and what you want them to change in the plan.
- Read the Plan. The Council have helpfully organised the Plan in sections to make this huge document more accessible to all. Find it here.
- Call 01295 221779 to ask for a copy of the plan to be sent to you. You can also ask to speak to the Planning Department to leave your verbal consultation feedback.
- Email your consultation feedback or questions to: Planningpolicyconsultation@cherwell-dc.gov.uk
- Write to: Planning Policy Consultation, Planning Policy Team, Cherwell District Council, Bodicote House, Bodicote, Banbury, OX15 4AA.
- Also write to: Our local MP, Calum Miller, calum.miller.mp@parliament.uk
- Write to your Ward Councillor. You can find out who yours is yours here.
