Theme park developers Puy du Fou have resorted to putting out a hastily slapped together ‘mythbuster’ in an attempt to minimise the serious issues with their plans that NORA has been drawing attention to. Of course this is the best PR we could wish for for our awareness campaign about the proposed plans, and we couldn’t pass on the opportunity to respond!
Curious to see what it’s all about?
UPDATE: since writing and releasing our Lie Detector, Puy du Fou have decided to tone down some of their language towards their critics in their online version. But don’t worry, we have uploaded their ‘Mythbuster, Original Version’ here for you so you can see for yourself how they choose to engage publicly with the people they claim they want to be good neighbours to:
NORA doesn’t just object to or challenge development plans for the sake of objecting or obstructing. When we raise issues, these are rooted in real concerns people have and the ones we have identified with Puy du Fou are backed by evidence and sources. We provide these in our response, so the reader can make up their own mind about the plans.
In short, we are not here to tell people what to think, unlike Puy du Fou, but to give everyone a chance to see ALL sides of the plans, not just what Puy du Fou wants you to know.
Please read our response and decide for yourself what you think of the proposed theme park – and the people behind it.
